Ultimate Roadsmith Open House Recap

While it now seems like ages ago, it was only a few weeks back that we hosted our first Open House at the Roadsmith, affectionately called The “Ultimate” Roadsmith Open House.  We called it the “ultimate” for several reasons, most notably the fact that we were celebrating our 42nd Anniversary in the trike business… a significant milestone in a business that has changed dramatically since its humble beginnings in the Lindholm garage so many years ago.

The event was, by all measures, a complete success and we couldn’t have been happier with the way the day turned out.  Preparations for the big day began months in advance with virtually every member of the Roadsmith Team jumping in to help clean, paint or otherwise update their respective areas.

The day of the Open House saw fair skies and, for the most part, the weather was kind to us throughout the event.  Customers starting showing up early in the morning and by midday we estimated well over 125 people at our tasty luncheon which was catered by a local eatery.  Roadsmith’s painter, Charlie Ewald and his team, Authority Stunts, provided the thrills for the group with their incredible stunt motorcycle show.  Throughout the day we gave guided tours of the Roadsmith operation.

The day ended with self-guided trike caravans on to Wing Ding in Madison, WI and several members of the Roadsmith Team joined the trip on trikes, only to get caught in some severe weather along the way.  All part of the riding experience, but made more enjoyable knowing that we were riding behind customers who had joined us earlier in the day at the factory.  A great day, indeed!
