Roadsmith’s Trike of the Month goes to a very deserving couple this time, Kevin and Aimee Sandifeer of Texas, with their stunning, custom-painted orange and black Honda Goldwing HTS1800.
Like most young men, Kevin started his riding career on mini-bikes and eventually ended up on a series of Harley-Davidsons, including a Fatboy and Ultra Classic. It wasn’t until Kevin developed some knee problems that they began to consider alternatives that would allow them to continue to vacation and tour together on their motorcycle. As a Field Service Manager for a coal company, Kevin spends long periods of time in South America and time together with his wife on the motorcycle are precious times indeed.
It was only after riding all of the competitive brands of trike that Kevin and Aimee settled on the Roadsmith; and it only took one ride on a Goldwing to realize that was the most suitable long-term platform.
Kevin and Aimee worked with Horizon Trikes and Honda of Russellville to get the conversion done and had nothing but praise for the paint and other work performed by both organizations. Paired with their 1934 Ford Street Rod, nobody has to ask what the couple’s favorite color is… that’s for sure!
We wish Kevin and Aimee many happy miles on their new trike and hope to see them (and the trike) in person at one of the many rallies we attend every year!
